"My hope in writing is to glorify Jesus Christ, and to encourage you to love Him with all of your heart. I pray that you get a glimpse of the Father through these words and devotions. My desire is for heart-strings to be tugged and souls to be searched as I express my adoration for Jesus."

The Father's Hands

The hands of the Father hold us and embrace us. His hands are strong and gentle, swift and patient. They write the words from His Word on the tablet of our hearts. His hands sweetly lift our chin up towards His face when we have lost our focus. Guiding and disciplining, loving and inviting, the holy hands of our Messiah carry us through this life. We are safe and loved, forever in our Father's grip.

The all-powerful hands that formed man from the Dust of the earth, tenderly formed you in your mother's womb.

The very hands that planted the beautiful garden in Eden, prune unfruitful branches in our lives, connecting us to the Living Vine.

The same hands that inscribed the Ten Holy Commandments on stone tablets have your new righteous name engraved on their palms.

The healing hands that once rebuked sickness and diseases in the Days of Old, continue to touch the broken bodies, making them whole once again.

The holy hands that clapped and celebrated with the loved ones of His days are the very hands that embrace His children as His name is praised today.

The perfect hands that once drew in the dirt at the sinner's feet continue to erase our transgressions and clean our blemished slates.

The gentle hands that formed the mud for the blind man's eyes are the same hands that lift us and guide us when we can't find our way.

The very hands that lifted up and blessed The Chosen Twelve stretch out over His children today and pour out blessing after blessing.

The same hands that were raised over the turbulent storm and commanded peace are the hands that hold us close, calming the storms of our lives.

The broken, lifeless hands that were once nailed to an old rugged cross are now the restored, perfect hands that stand knocking at the door of your heart. Welcome the Lord into your life, and He will never, ever lose His grip on you. Surrender your heart to Him, and His holy hands will sustain you.

Take My hand, child. Follow Me...

         In His Grip,
