"My hope in writing is to glorify Jesus Christ, and to encourage you to love Him with all of your heart. I pray that you get a glimpse of the Father through these words and devotions. My desire is for heart-strings to be tugged and souls to be searched as I express my adoration for Jesus."

                  Ever So Thankful,

I am in awe of God and His creativity. As I see the gifts of other Believers, I want to encourage them to share their gifts, as God has intended. There are many talented writers in our church, and Kim Mitchell is one of them. I am honored to share this poem with you, as she so humbly shared it with me. This is from Kim's heart, straight to yours...

A God So True

HE DIED FOR YOU, HE DIED FOR ME.
HE SHED HIS BLOOD UPON THAT TREE.
HIS BODY HANGING, NAILED TO THE CROSS-
HEAVEN'S GAIN, EARTH'S PRECIOUS LOSS.

HE HEALED THE SICK AND RAISED THE DEAD;
A CROWN OF THORNS UPON HIS HEAD.
HE WALKED ON WATER AND FED THE CROWD.
HE SPOKE THE WORD AND PRAYED OUT LOUD.

HE CHOSE TO DIE TO FORGIVE OUR SIN.
HE SAID ONE DAY HE'D RISE AGAIN.
ON THE THIRD DAY, THE GRAVE WAS BARE.
FOR YOU AND ME, HE DID CARE.

A LOVE SO DEEP, A GOD SO TRUE;
SO UNWORTHY, ME AND YOU.
HE TOOK US IN, WRAPPED US IN HIS ARMS.
HE WILL PROTECT US FROM ANY HARM.

SEEK HIS FACE AND WANT HIS HEART.
FOR US HE WILL GIVE A BRAND NEW START.
HE PREPARED A ROOM FOR US ONE DAY-
FOR IN HIS KINGDOM WE WILL STAY.

AN EVERLASTING HOME ABOVE;
WE'LL FLY THERE ON WINGS OF A DOVE.
WE'LL ALL BE REUNITED THERE AGAIN,
IN A MAGICAL PLACE WE CALL HEAVEN.
