Coals of FireIn the sacred days of Old, the LORD God Almighty instructed His people to make a sanctuary for Him, so that He could dwell among them. Giving His servant, Moses, the exact pattern to follow for the tabernacle and all of its furnishings, God was pleased when the structure was built. His Presence moved into the Holy of Holies of the tabernacle, and the LORD God Almighty dwelt there. Through the entrance of the tabernacle was the alter of burnt offering, and it was the first object encountered in the place of God’s presence. The Israelites were instructed to offer animal sacrifices on this alter, so that their sins may be forgiven. God’s law required the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins. The coals of this fire were to remain burning at all times, because the LORD was the One who started this holy fire. The words to this story were actually written as a song. God led me to someone who had the gift of writing music, and she wrote the music with her husband. It’s amazing how God orchestrates things from Heaven, just to bless our hearts. These words were written for you, and for the special ladies of my Bible study. God does, indeed, dwell inside of our hearts. May our temples glorify Him, and honor Him everyday in all ways.
