"My hope in writing is to glorify Jesus Christ, and to encourage you to love Him with all of your heart. I pray that you get a glimpse of the Father through these words and devotions. My desire is for heart-strings to be tugged and souls to be searched as I express my adoration for Jesus."

Coals of Fire

In the sacred days of Old, the LORD God Almighty instructed His people to make a sanctuary for Him, so that He could dwell among them. Giving His servant, Moses, the exact pattern to follow for the tabernacle and all of its furnishings, God was pleased when the structure was built. His Presence moved into the Holy of Holies of the tabernacle, and the LORD God Almighty dwelt there.

Through the entrance of the tabernacle was the alter of burnt offering, and it was the first object encountered in the place of God’s presence. The Israelites were instructed to offer animal sacrifices on this alter, so that their sins may be forgiven. God’s law required the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins. The coals of this fire were to remain burning at all times, because the LORD was the One who started this holy fire.

The words to this story were actually written as a song. God led me to someone who had the gift of writing music, and she wrote the music with her husband. It’s amazing how God orchestrates things from Heaven, just to bless our hearts.

These words were written for you, and for the special ladies of my Bible study. God does, indeed, dwell inside of our hearts. May our temples glorify Him, and honor Him everyday in all ways.

Coals of Fire

Prayers are as incense, so fragrant and pure;
Words rising towards Heaven, of this I am sure.
An aroma so pleasing, to the Almighty King;
Praise and sweet adoration, a most sacred offering.

Prayers are lifted to the Lord’s Tabernacle, gently drifting to His royal throne;
The Son, at His hand, interceding;
Always speaking on behalf of His own.

Coals of fire
On this alter,
Soaked in Jesus’ perfect blood.
Smoke arises,
Sweet as incense;
Prayers accepted,
Thank You, Son.

Approach God’s throne with confidence.
Lift your prayers in Jesus’ name.
As His saint, you are forgiven;
A new creation, without shame.

The Spirit groans, as He interprets,
Words our hearts don’t even know.
Praying for us, to the Father;
Perfect peace, He will bestow.
Coals of fire,
On this alter,
Soaked in Jesus’ perfect blood.
Smoke arises,
Sweet as incense;
Prayers accepted,
Thank you, Son.
