"My hope in writing is to glorify Jesus Christ, and to encourage you to love Him with all of your heart. I pray that you get a glimpse of the Father through these words and devotions. My desire is for heart-strings to be tugged and souls to be searched as I express my adoration for Jesus."

Preparing For Advent:
The Bethlehem Candle/ The Candle of Love

Week 2 - December 4th

With many voices over thousands of years, the Lord God sprinkles promises of the coming Messiah throughout His Holy Word. God uses the prophet named Micah to speak of the birthplace of Christ: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” The name, “Bethlehem”, means “house of bread”. Bethlehem was to be the birthplace of Jesus, the Bread of Life. This city was very small in comparison to those around it. We know that God’s most glorious work often comes from minor things overlooked by the human eye. So often, we find God in the most unexpected places...

Thousands of years ago, “royalty” was found in a humble manger. Lord, of all the most unexpected places You have chosen to dwell, nothing compares to living inside of us. You promise that if we receive You and believe in Your name, we have the right to become Your children. To know that You now live in the hearts of men is truly amazing. We thank You for loving us, Jesus.
