"My hope in writing is to glorify Jesus Christ, and to encourage you to love Him with all of your heart. I pray that you get a glimpse of the Father through these words and devotions. My desire is for heart-strings to be tugged and souls to be searched as I express my adoration for Jesus."

Preparing For Advent:
The Angel Candle/

Week 4 - December 18th

It had been 400 years since the Jewish people had last heard a word from God. Heaven had been silent and God’s people were hungry for His voice. Unknown to them, the Father was preparing to bless them with much more than a word. He was going to give them The Word, His glorious Son.

What better way could there have been for the Father to announce the birth of Christ, except through His messengers, the angels? God’s ambassador, Gabriel, had announced the plan for Jesus’ birth first to Mary, and then to Joseph. And when the time came to tell the humble shepherds of the Savior’s birth, the Hosts of Heaven joined the Angel of the Lord. In all of their beauty and splendor, a great company of angels filled the night sky. They shouted praises to God, and all of Heaven celebrated.

Today, we are God’s messengers proclaiming the Good News of Christ’s birth. As we accept Jesus into our hearts, the glory of the Lord is within us, and we are His ambassadors. Let us praise Jesus everyday, as the Hosts of Heaven did on that night.

Loving Father, fill us with words of adoration, and use us to proclaim the beauty of Your Son. Thank You for allowing us to be Your voice this day. Give us courage and boldness as we tell the world about Your Son…
