Jesus the Center of the Bible
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.
John 1:4
From the Heart of Jesus:
I am the fulfillment of prophecy, the long-awaited promise from the beginning. My coming was first spoken of in Eden's Garden, and again to Abram in the Book of Beginnings. My name is whispered throughout the pages of Scripture. Did you know that I am your Tabernacle, the Manna that sustains you, and the Balm of Gilead that heals you? I am the Desert Rock that satisfies your thirst, and the Brazen Snake that gives you life. I am the Scarlet Cord that runs through your spirit, filling you with my truth.
A Thankful Response:
We light this third Advent Candle today to remember that Christ Jesus is the Center of the Bible. The Holy Scriptures reflect Your beauty, for You are the Image of the Invisible God. We see your heart, Lord, as we ponder Your sacred Word. You are the Scarlet Cord that weaves throughout the Ancient Text. We can follow your footsteps and trace the path of your faithfulness. It all points to you, Son of Man, and we are forever grateful.
