Jesus the Center of the Church
For this is contained in Scripture: "Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed." 1 Peter 2:6
From the Heart of Jesus:
I am the solid rock of your foundation- your Cornerstone. I have chosen you, Child, to become a living stone to help build my spiritual house, the Church. Never forget the hope that you have as my beloved, and always remember to share this truth with the world around you. You are my body of believers, and your commission remains unchanged. Use the gifts my spirit has given you to build up and encourage the church. Use the Word and the power of my spirit to share the good news with those who do not know me.
A Thankful Response:
We light this second Advent Candle today to remember that Jesus is the center of the church. Everything we believe and know as Truth is focused on You, Messiah. Help us, your people, to proclaim the blessed hope we have in you. We wait expectantly for your return. May we reflect your love in all that we say and do, and give you all of the honor and glory and praise. You are indeed "Immanuel", "God with us".
