The beauty of God's creation dazzles, inspires, and awes us. It pales, however, in comparison with the beauty of His message for humankind and in the power of His promises of love, hope, mercy and grace.
Our Victorious Savior. The steeple window bears a cross and a crown of victory. Through Christ's suffering, death on the cross, and resurrection. He bridged the gap between man and God. Jesus became our sacrificial Lamb, our High Prist, opening the way for us to become children of God. Our Worship. We respond in gratitude for God's sacrificial love and grace by our worship. One of the side windows depicts some of the ways we express our worship: the study of God's word, prayer, music, and communion. Our Mission. As we worship our holy God, we continue our response as seen in the second side window. We answer God's call to go into all of the world with the message of the cross as revealed in the Word of God. Our Lord and King. Over the baptistry we view an Ascension of Christ. His earthly work finished, our Lord Jesus ascended to the Father to prepare a place for believers. And one day, Our Lord and King will return to gather God's people to be forever with Him. Acts 1:11 tells us "This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven". All praise be to Jesus, Our Victorious Savior, who is worthy of Our Worship, who calls us to Our Mission, and who is Our Lord and King. |
