Requests for Prayer

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. (Philippians 4:6)

As always our cry is, "Brothers, pray for us". (1 Thessalonians 5:25)

  • Our friends in Russia ask for your prayers. Their current prayer requests (Monthly Prayer Calendar) and other information can be seen on the Missions to Russia Page.

  • Our friends in Taiwan ask for your prayers. Their current prayer requests and other information can be seen on the Missions to Taiwan page and their newsletter.

  • Pray for our nation's leaders, as well as leaders of other countries, our country, the military personnel involved in the war on Iraq and the families they have left behind.

Prayerwalking

Many believers are prayerwalking through the streets of their communities. As they walk, they pray with their eyes open for spiritual awakening in their locales. There is nothing magical about the act of walking, and their is no set pattern for prayerwalking. But walking through the arena of need helps us pray with spontaneity about the ways we expect God to answer our prayers.

Our proximity to the need also helps us draw near to those for whom we pray. Getting close to the community focuses our prayer, encourging us to pray for specific families and individuals. But we also use prayerwalking to enlarge our vision fo the entire community's needs.

Prayerwalking may be done individually or with other believers. As you walk, pray for the persons you see and allow the Holy Sprit to make you sensitive to their needs. Pray spiritual prayers and highlight God's promises as you walk.

Projects

Prayerwalking through your home -

Walk through your home and pray for the persons in the photographs around your home. When you see a gift someone gave you, pray for the person who gave it to you. Let the newspaper or a television newscast present opportunites to pray for leaders of the world, for victims, and for oppressed people. As you travel today, pary that the churches you pass will honor God and bring praise to His name. If you work outside the home, pray for those who work around you. Let all of the elements in your environment become daily reminders to talk to God about what He is doing and wants to do in the world. Continue to learn to pray without ceasing.

Prayer Commitment -

Without a doubt, our church is on the verge of greater things than we have ever seen. As we move forward, Chapin Baptist Church must have a strong, faithful prayer base. Make one or both of the following commitments.

  • Commit to be a prayer partner for our pastors. On a daily basis, pray for their spiritual, emotional, and physical strength.
  • Commit to be an intercessory prayer warrior in the prayer room.

Drop an email to the church office with your name, address, telephone, and email information, so you can be contacted for this important ministry opportunity. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the church at 803.345.3477 .
