The love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to all of our supporters and Prayer Warriors!

We are one week away from leaving again for the Far-East Region of Russia.

We want to thank all supporters and prayer warriors for "helping" us get ready for this trip. Since I got back home from Taipei, there hasn't been much time to prepare for this trip. But, thanks to our Lord, we are ready! Our Team members this time will be Carol Purdy and Steven Little from Chapin, SC and Greg Willits from Mesa, AZ. Also, on this trip we will be doing something a little different. On my first trip to Khabarovsk, Russia 2 years ago, I met this small group of Russian Christians who are constantly working on humanitarian projects in the name of our Lord. About 6 months ago, they asked me if our Ministry could help them with one of these projects - Project Open Heart. They have obtained government approval to take over an old Russian Army camp near the town of Birobidjan (a 3 hour bus ride west of Khabarovsk going back towards Siberia). Thanks to many of you, we will be taking some funds to help this group buy necessary building materials to spruce this camp up. They then will use this camp to house teenagers who need help in reentering society. Many of these teenagers will be "graduates" of Russian Children's Homes (we call them orphanages). At age 16, if they have not been adopted, they graduate - in effect get turned out into the streets. Project Open Heart will take these teenagers in, teach them socialskills, health care, a physical trade (i.e., wood working, sewing) and introducethem to the best book in the world - the Holy Bible! So, in addition to a little manual labor, we will be helping our friends assess what work needsto be done and develop a project plan. Then, hopefully and prayerfully,we will be able to come home and recruit others to help us in the future.

So, at the crack of dawn on Monday, April 26th, the SC group takes off and then at 10:30 am Arizona time Greg will take off to meet up with us in LA. We then fly to Inchon, Korea where we will spend a night. Then the next morning we take off for Khabarovsk. Please pray for our safety and that we will see those the Lord puts in front of us.

Remember, keep looking up!

Serving Him,

Richard Plasket
