Mission to Russia - August 2005
Pre-trip Message

To all of our supporters, Prayer Warriors and friends - Greetings!
I normally don't put out but 1 message before the trip. But, we have just received a small change in plans that are very interesting. God is good - all the time and, sometimes he isn't so mysterious! The biggest change is in venue. We will still fly into Khabarovsk but, instead of working there, we will be going 3 hours West to the town of Birobidjan. This is the town where I worked last May. Pastor Victor of Central Baptist Church has asked us to assist him in planting a church. We know that is what the Lord wants us to do but now we know where!
Khabarovsk is the capital of the Khabarovsk Krai (State) and the Far-East Region of Russia. Birobidjan is the capital of the Jewish Autonomous Region (JAR) which roughly sits between the Far-East Region and Siberia and on the Chinese border. This region was set up by Stalin during WW II. Since the fall of the USSR, many Jews from JAR have relocated to Israel and many Russians have been moving into the area. The land is rich. While this region was once thought of as being desolate, it is now in high demand. It is in the JAR where Management Sharing Ministries helped set up a school last May.
Our prayer requests now are:
1 - That we can follow through and see where the Lord is leading us.
2 - That our final preparations will be wrapped in prayer.
3 - That the Lord continues to enlighten us regarding His goal for us on this trip.
May the Lord bless you all.
