Mission to Russia - October 2003

Greetings to all of our Paryer Warriors!

Chuck and I made it to Inchon, Korea last evening and now we are waiting to go back to the airport and onward to Khabarovsk. The trip has been uneventful so far and the Lord has put a number of good folks in our path to help encourage us.

Our thought for the day is that Fear is an instrument of the evil one. When we have faith there is no room for fear. When we have fear we are slowed down from doing what our Lord wants us to do.

To all of our Prayer Warriors,

Chuck and I arrived in Khabarovsk this afternoon safe and sound. In fact, just like last October, everyone is thanking us for bringing good weather. It had been right cold here the last week but right now it is like an Indian summer. We were met at the airport by two of our friends from the Academy of Economics and Law so our return visits makes us less strange to the area. In fact, as we were walking into the hotel, I bumped into a gentleman I had met last October at the Khabarovsk Association of Producers. When we were here in April, he was no longer with the Association. I truly feel the Lord put him in this lobby so that we would meet again. He wants us to come to his new company next week and talk with his staff.

Speaking of hotels, the situation on getting a room here has become very volatile - no reservations unless you stay at the higher end hotels which most mission teams don't do. So we are at an old hotel for tonight only. We did shop around and found a nice mid-range hotel that we will move to tomorrow. We were also able to make reservations for when Vivian and Tommy arrive next week. Now we pray that all this is true as we try to actually move over there tomorrow.

We already have 3 appointments for tomorrow so I had better get to sleep. Our notes may get a little longer each day as the Lord opens the doors for us and we get more involved. Please pray that we see and know the opportunities the Lord gives us.
