Our Passion for Worship

John 4:24 says, "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." We at Chapin Baptist Church strive to worship God in spirit and truth. We use a variety of styles music and media to worship our Lord.

All age groups are involved in our worship, from children's choirs, youth worship team, adult choirs, orchestra, praise band and vocal teams, ensembles, and soloists. The Lord tells us to make a joyful noise, so join us as we seek to connect with God in worship.

Celebration Choir

The Celebration Choir sings in the 8:30 worship service. The music this choir sings is traditional to gospel. They rehearse in the Worship Center on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm This group is open to anyone with no audition required.

Praise Choir

The Praise Choir sings in the 9:45 and 11:05 worship services. They help lead out in the worship time of the service by singing with the praise team during congregational music. They rehearse in the Choir Room on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00P.M. This group is open to anyone with no audition required.

Praise Team

The Praise Team sings in the 9:45 and 11:05 worship services. They lead out in the worship time of the service during congregational music. They rehearse in the Choir Room on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00P.M. There are 4 teams who each sing once a month as well as sing with the Praise Choir. This group is open to any member of the church and an audition is required.

Praise Band

The Praise Band play for the congregational music in the 9:30 and 11:00 worship services. They rehearse in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00P.M. The band consists of Guitars, Keyboards, and Drums. There is no audition but being proficient on one of these instruments is a must.

Orchestra

The Orchestra plays in the 8:30 worship service. They play preludes, offertories, and along with congregational singing. They rehearse in the Worship Center on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00P.M. This group is open to anyone who plays or has played an orchestra or band instrument. (Sarah Gresham)

Media and Worship Support

Our support team consists of persons that lend a hand with stage set-up and worship center preparation for special events. They also use knowledge of sound equipment and powerpoint to man our sound and video projection systems during our services.

Youth Worship Team (made up of students)

Rehearsal time is Monday Evening. The Youth Praise Team lead out in the youth worship service at 11:05am. Our youth praise band currently consists of drums, guitars, and keyboard.
