WHO WE ARE

  • RISE PreTeen Ministry is for 5th and 6th Graders.  Students are exposed to an exciting learning environment where they have the opportunity to dig more deeply into Biblical truths. We pray that they will believe and accept these Biblical truths which will cause them to develop a faith firmly rooted in our God. This foundational understanding and acceptance of the Gospel will forever change their lives. Click here to access the RISE calendar.

You and your children will be greeted by a friendly front desk volunteer where they will check in and be led to an age-appropriate classroom. 


Sunday Mornings

  • 9:45 am Sunday School, Nursery and Preschool classes   
  • 11:00 am RISE students in 5th and 6th grade attend worship in the main Worship Center with their families. 


Sunday Evenings

  • 6:00 pm - RISE Students in 5th and 6th grade meet for fellowship, games, and a Bible study. 




SUMMER CALENDAR OF EVENTS


RISE will take a break from our regular Sunday night Bible Studies,

but JOIN US FOR THESE FUN SUMMER EVENTS


Sunday, June 1 - Trampoline Park.  Depart Chapin Baptist at 5:30pm and return to the church at 8:00pm. 


Monday, June 9 - Friday, June 13 - RUCKUS Vacation Bible School.  Click here to register.


Sunday, June 22 - Sonic Night - 4:00 - 5:30pm


Monday, June 23 - Friday, June 27 - CentriKid Camp (registration closed)


Sunday, July 6 - Lake Night! Details to follow.


Sunday, July 27 - End of Summer Night Pool Party!  Welcome rising 5th Graders!


Sunday, August 3 - Promotion Sunday!  We return to our regular Sunday Night Bible Studies.


SECURITY

  • We take very seriously the safety and security of all children in our care. All volunteers in RISE are members of Chapin Baptist Church. Each volunteer and employee must successfully clear a background check and interview process before being permitted to serve in this ministry.

SPECIAL EVENTS

  • RISE hosts many special events throughout the year. Some of our special events include: Easter Egg Hunt, Kids Church Camp, Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat, Operation Christmas Child, and Parent-Child Dedication.

RESOURCES FOR PARENTS

  • Chapin Baptist Child Development Center – a ministry of Chapin Baptist Church. CBCDC is licensed by the SC Department of Social Services. It provides quality childcare and child development in a safe, loving Christian environment.
  • Good News Club – a weekly Christian program offered in local schools for children ages 5-12. Chapin Baptist volunteers are actively engaged in leading this program in some of our community’s schools.
  • DC4K – DivorceCare for Kids is a support group which teaches skills to children impacted by the trauma of separation or divorce, which will help them process this trauma in a healthy way. DC4K classes are offered at Chapin Baptist, in conjunction with DivorceCare (for adults).
