2025 Kid's Bible Reading Challenge

This past year, our Grove Kids were challenged to spend 7 minutes a day reading through The Day By Day Kid’s Bible.  This was a great challenge and covered the whole Bible in a year and was designed for the whole family or individually. This is still a great resource!

This year, I’m encouraging our young to readers to participate in the Bible Recap for Kids. This book can be used in several different ways, but I think the best way is to have your kids read the Zoom In verse of the day and then discuss the devotional as a family.

I read a study a few years ago that surveyed young adults who stayed in the church after they left their parents homes. The biggest influencer for young adults not walking away from the church once they reached independence was that the Bible was read consistently in their homes. Let’s start the practice now of letting God’s word do His work in the hearts of our children.

If you want to participate in this challenge but find the price of the Bible to be a stretch, please reach out to me and I would love to gift this to your family.

WHO WE ARE

Our Children’s Ministry is known as The Grove and serves children ages 6 weeks to 5th grade. We provide a safe place with loving, godly caregivers and teachers who offer sound Biblical teaching.

  • Preschoolers experience a creative and fun way to learn about Jesus, through music, games, activities, and Bible stories.
  • Kindergarten – 4th Grade children are engaged in activities and Bible lessons designed to help them grow in their faith, as they develop a deeper understanding of God’s Word. This often causes them to become excited about sharing their knowledge of God’s Word.
  • RISE is the launching pad for our 5th grade students.  Students will grow in their Biblical knowledge by being taught how to read the Bible, how to study the Bible, and how to use the Bible as an authority in their lives.  We believe that building Bible literacy begins to form the foundations of a relationship with The Author.  Our prayer is that during their 5th grade year students in RISE will either learn to trust Jesus as their savior for the first time or build on the foundations of their faith.
